I Do Not Like Mondays

It’s now some 14 years since I proposed to my wife in March 2010 while she was doing doctoral work in Scotland. We were apart for a good while then, since I was still living in Arlington, Virginia at the time, and around that time I started writing a love song for her.

I liked the way she looked at me — she lit up when I came to visit — so I would say her eyes were smiling at me. I called this “The Smile in Your Eyes.”

Thought I’d give it a go earlier this week in honor of Valentine’s Day with just me and the guitar. I might suggest popping in headphones to listen! ☺
